SAN FRANCISCO WEDDING

The historic Mission Dolores Baptistery was the magnificent site of this traditional December wedding. Using state-of-the art digital equipment, Ken enhanced the chiaroscuro effect of the twilight-darkened church illuminated by candles and theatrical floodlights. The wedding party nestled into a limo for a romantic nighttime ride to darkened Crissy Field for a formal portrait with the glowing Golden Gate Bridge as the backdrop. Ken’s understanding of the technical requirements heightened the drama and beauty of a unique bride-and-groom portrait. The reception at the Presidio’s Log Cabin, which had been decorated with a woodsy holiday theme, was lit by a roaring fire and warm Christmas lights: yet another lighting challenge Ken used to his advantage. The results convey the warmth and emotion of a 19th-century wedding celebration.
