WOODSIDE WEDDING
Mountain Terrace
Redwood Grove
Karn’s grandfather had been one of the designers of the Studebaker, and Ken made a joyous portrait of the red-haired bride in her pink gown as she posed in the pink car. At the priest’s request, Ken shot the ceremony from 50 yards with a telephoto lens, creating a collection of unforgettable candids of the bride and groom. For the photo of all 90 people in the wedding party, Ken stood on an eight-foot ladder on a deck; he later used digital photocomposition to ensure that every face in the photo was smiling up at the camera.
